Hyderabad/ Bhopal/New Delhi/Varanasi : Hundreds participated in a candlelight demonstration on Sunday night against Saturday's twin blasts. Residents called on the Government to curb the menace of terrorism.
"It was Delhi last time, and then it was the Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad. Where is the security for common people like us? So, it is high time the government come up with actions. They have to do something about it," said Pranati, a resident.
In Bhopal, Bajrang Dal activists burned an effigy of terrorism and replicas of the Pakistan flag.
"All terrorists camps are situated inside Pakistan, and they have acted under their influence to trigger this second blast in Hyderabad. The Bajrang Dal condemns such acts of cowardice," said Vishal Purohit, the District Secretary of the Dal.
All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) activists took out a protest march in New Delhi."Whenever peace and brotherhood prosper in India, Pakistan tries to disturb it. Whenever a festival approaches, be it of any community, it tries to disrupt it," claimed Janab Alam, a protestor.
Union Home Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal said preliminary investigations pointed to the Bangladesh-based Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HUJI).Similar demonstrations took place in Varanasi."We have burned the HUJI effigy. We want the terrorists to be caught immediately and hanged," said Jallal, another protester.
