New Delhi/Varanasi/Hyderabad, Aug 26 : People took to streets in various parts of the country condemning the serial blasts that rocked Hyderabad city killing over 40 people.
Activists of the All India Anti-Terrorist Front (AIATF) in the national capital took out a protest march shouting slogans against terror groups, accusing Pakistan of sheltering them and fomenting violence in India.
"Whenever peace and brotherhood prosper in India, Pakistan tries to disturb it. Whenever a festival approaches, be it of any community, it tries to disrupt it," said a protester, Janab Alam.
New Delhi has sent extra police and special bomb detection equipment to Hyderabad.
Union Home Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal said preliminary investigations pointed at the Bangladesh-based outfit, Harkat-ul-Jehadi Islami (HUJI), suspected of being involved in a previous bomb blast in the city.
Similar demonstrations were also seen in Varanasi where protesters burnt effigies labelled 'HUJI.'
"We have burned the HUJI effigy. We just want that the terrorist be immediately caught and be hanged to dead," said Jallal, another protester.
