New Delhi, Aug 26 : A fifty-two member delegation from India will reach Kasur in Pakistan today to attend the Urs of Baba Bullehshah, the revolutionary Saint of Punjab.
The Indian delegation will reach Kasur by crossing Wagah border on foot, on the invitation of Bulleh Shah International Forum.
The three-day Urs starts from today.
Chadars will be presented at the Urs on behalf of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha Charanjit Singh Atwal, and Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha K Rahman Khan.
The delegation includes Professor Naresh Dadhich, Gandhian and social activist Nirmala Deshpande, MPs Abdul Rashid Shaheen, Shahid Siddiqui, Alka Balram, Sunil Khan, and ex-MPs Wasim Ahmed and Nareash Yadav.
The delegation will also attend a seminar on Baba Bullehshah where paper will be produced by Dr. Sutinder Singh Noor, Delhi Professor.
The delegation will return home on Tuesday.
The programmes is organised by Indo-Pak Forum of Parliamentarians, Association of Peoples of Asia ad Delhi Peace Summit.
