Twin blasts rock Hyderabad, 20 dead

At least twenty people were killed and twelve others injured in a twin blast that rocked Hyderabad today evening.

Hyderabad, Aug 25 : At least twenty people were killed and twelve others injured in a twin blast that rocked Hyderabad today evening.

The two blasts took place within a gap of 10 minutes.

The first explosion took at Lumbini Park in the heart of the city at around 8 P.M., which was followed by an explosion at Gokul Chat Bhandar, an overcrowded eatery joint. ma Rameshwari Rao, Assistant Commissioner of Police told a news channel that alert has been sounded in the city in the wake of the blasts.

The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital Medicity and the toll is expected to rise.

The blast at Lumbini Park was a high-intensity one and took place when a laser and a fountain show were going on.
