New Delhi, Aug.22 : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is short of 1341 officers,Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Suresh Pachouri, told Parliament today
As against the sanctioned strength of 5959, the CBI has 4618 officers, Pachaori said.
He said that in order to attract officers to join CBI, the Government has introduced a Special Incentive Allowance to all officers from Constable to Director level in the CBI.
The Recruitment Rules of various posts have also been amended to ensure that vacancies are filled up speedily.
