New Delhi, Aug 2 : Bharatiya Janshakti Party leader Uma Bharti today staged a sit-in protest against the Indo-US nuclear deal.
The protestors, led by firebrand Bharati, complained that India's nuclear rights have been compromised in the deal."The nuclear deal with America has been signed without disclosing any facts. And the leaked information has revealed that India's nuclear rights have been mortgaged. It is a very dangerous for the country," Bharati told reporters.
Both India and the US have not revealed the details of the text of the 123-agreeement, the operational past of the civilian nuclear energy cooperation, that was finalised in Washington in July.
Both countries have expressed their satisfaction over the finalisation of the text of the agreement.
