Krishnasastriyam Audio Album Released

LalitaMohanam's maiden release garners critical acclaim for its graceful and captivating musical interpretations for eight of Krishnasastry's lyrical gems

Hyderabad, August 18.....: Krishnasastriyam, an audio album of Sri Devulapalli Krishnasastry's lyrics set to music by Sreedhar-Murthy(Sreedhar Chintalapaty and Dr. Ramachandra Murthy), is released in Hyderabad today. It is the maiden release of the music lable LalitaMohanam, whose mission is to entertain you with music that is graceful, captivating and uplifting. The album is a fundraiser for Maavuru.org(http://www.maavuru.org).

Well known composers Srik R.P. Patnaik, Sri K.M. Radhakrishnan and Sri Sriram Kaushik(Ramachari) as well as compplished literary scholars's Sri Voleti Parvateesam and Sri Errapragada Ramakrishna graced the occasion. The album contains eight songs.

Navvante Zaabili mirrors the beauty and depth of a mother's dreamy joy as she rocks her playful and utterly adoring baby in her lap. The lullaby Moose nee kanula likens the beauty of a child in the cradle to a lotus swaying gently in the pond and a daffodil dancing in the gentle breeze.

Jaya Janani hails the beauteous anthropomorphic form of Mother India as the one bathed in the sweet songs of her teeming millions. Kadali dari daaka depicts those teeming millions casting away the shackles of subservience during the Salt Satyagraha and marching towards freedom.

Rellu poola panupu portrays the wonderment that characterizes the beginning of spiritual quest--the vague knowledge of the existence of the Truth, the very real knowledge of its material manifestation and the nascent desire to apprehend it; Raave praavritkaalama interprets a seeker's supplication for insight; Tirugaaduchunti tandri depicts the surrender of ego by a seeker who, caught in the storm of ignorance, craves the shelter of divine grace.

O pathika empathetically exhorts those with lofty goals to overcome temporary setbacks, to always remember their hopes and aspirations and to visualize the fulfillment of their mission.

Gopika Purnima, Sreedhar, Anindyu, Dilip, Gita Madhuri, Kranti, Parinika and Pranavi sang the songs with able support from Dr. Ramachandra Murthy on the flute, Anil, Dinkar, Sai and Shiva on the Strings, Kamal and Jeevan on the Keyboards, Aakella Bhaskar on the Tabla, Ilaya Raja on rhythm and Phani Narayana on the Veena.
