The Chief of Army Staff, General J J Singh on Friday said that all steps are being taken to ensure that infiltration from across the LoC is controlled and brought to a very low level.
Bangalore, Aug 17 : The Chief of Army Staff, General J J Singh on Friday said that all steps are being taken to ensure that infiltration from across the LoC is controlled and brought to a very low level.
After inaugurating the new campus of the Army Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology here, Singh said: "The surrender of terrorists is taking place."
"We are taking all steps to ensure that infiltration is controlled and brought to a very low level," he added.
He, however, said "Infiltration attempts are on, particularly during the summer months because the weather is conducive to that."
Singh said that Army's strategy has been successful in Kashmir and the northeast.
"They (militants) have rejected violence. So, all these are indicators telling us that our strategy is successful and situation in Kashmir and also northeast are doing very well," he added.
