Ten personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured here today when a grenade burst during a training session.
Coimbatore (TN), Aug 10 : Ten personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were injured here today when a grenade burst during a training session.
The personnel were undergoing training in rifle grenade firing at the CRPF training centre located at the outskirts of Coimbatore city, when the explosion took place.
"Two persons are a bit serious and others are out of danger," said George C. Francis, Principal of the CRPF Training Centre.
All the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
"Almost nine persons had completed their firing, and when the tenth personnel triggered the grenade, it burst inside the rifle injuring us," said one of the injured personnel.
