India appoints new Ambassadors to Russia, Romania

India on Wednesday appointed its new Ambassadors to Russia and Romania.

New Delhi, Aug 1 : India on Wednesday appointed its new Ambassadors to Russia and Romania.

P. P. Shukla, presently High Commissioner of India to Australia, will be the next Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation.

The present Indian High Commissioner to Tanzania, D. Chakravarti, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Romania.

Both will take up their respective assignments shortly, a Foreign Ministry statement issued today said.
