College of Hospitality and Tourism (CHAT) organized American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) Diploma award ceremony at Gurgaon campus. The award ceremony hosted Mr. Anil Kalia, Vice President-Orchid Hotel Infrastructure Development, as the chief guest. Ms. Sharmila Nisudan, Gurgaon Rai Foundation Campus Head and Mr. M D Kapoor, Director-Rai Foundation, were also present at the award ceremony.
Twenty-five CHAT students successfully achieved this globally recognized AHLA certification. AHLA, established in 1910, is world's leading hospitality professional training body. It runs program in 1200 colleges across the globe. Some of these students have already got international placements. Jai Vardhand Dutt, who is going to the UK as trainee manager, said the faculty at CHAT gave him good guidance due to which he could manage to get through.
Campus Head Ms. Sharmila Nisudan appreciating the efforts of students said, "We at Rai Foundation always try to give global outlook which facilitates their transformation into global professionals." Mr. Kapoor told he was seventh Indian to get AHLA certification and emphasized its role in professional success.
