Cisco Appoints Jangoo Dalal to Lead India and SAARC Operations

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Cisco® has appointed Mr. Jangoo Dalal as President of its India and SAARC region (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation). He will report directly to Mr. Owen Chan, Cisco's President, Asia Pacific Operations. Mr. Dalal has been with Cisco for more than nine years and has headed the company's Enterprise and Commercial operations in India for the last two years. Prior to this, he was based in Singapore and was responsible for developing Cisco's Channel Operations & Strategy function, across the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Dalal is an industry veteran with more than 18 years experience in the technology industry. Before joining Cisco in 1997, he was Marketing Manager at Wipro-British Telecom. He joined the company as part of a start up team for the joint venture in India and was responsible for conceiving, launching and implementing the Value Added Network Services portfolio as a stand-alone profit-centre.

Mr. Dalal graduated from St. Xavier's in Mumbai and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Bombay University. He started his career with IDM and went on to join Wipro Infotech.
