The first ever Kerato-Refractive Surgery (Lasik Surgery) Centre of the Armed Forces was inaugurated at Army Hospital (Research and Referral), here today by Lieutenant General Yogendra Singh, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services in the presence of Major General O P Mathew, Commandant, Army Hospital (R and R).

New Delhi, Mar 24 : The first ever Kerato-Refractive Surgery (Lasik Surgery) Centre of the Armed Forces was inaugurated at Army Hospital (Research and Referral), here today by Lieutenant General Yogendra Singh, Director General Armed Forces Medical Services in the presence of Major General O P Mathew, Commandant, Army Hospital (R and R).

Lasik surgery will help in correction of complex refractive errors and the problems of the anterior surface of the eye ball.

Lieutenant General Yogendra Singh brought out that a long-standing need of the service clientele has been fulfilled. Major General O P Mathew said that the department of Ophthalmology at Army Hospital (R and R) is now equipped to offer competent management of the eye diseases available at any nationally reputed eye centre in the country.
