Broccoli juice helps Brit beat bladder cancer!

A daily glass of broccoli juice can protect against bladder cancer, swears a 79-year old Brit who beat the disease by downing the drink everyday.

London, July 21 : A daily glass of broccoli juice can protect against bladder cancer, swears a 79-year old Brit who beat the disease by downing the drink everyday.

Ray Wiseman was diagnosed with bladder cancer five years ago, and survived the condition with just half a tumbler broccoli juice daily.

"If I'd had my bladder removed five years ago - as was suggested - I'd have been vulnerable to many infections and wouldn't be here," The Sun quoted him as saying.

"But the broccoli has stopped any spread of the cancer.

"Since I've taken it the pain in my bladder has gone. It has definitely relieved things and helped me out," he added.

Wiseman, from Braunstone, Leicester said that one of his friends had suggested trying broccoli, when he was first diagnosed with cancer, insisting that it wouldn't do any harm.

Even hospital scans have confirmed that the cancer has been kept at bay.

"It's a bit of a mess getting the juice from the broccoli. If it wasn't so good for Ray we wouldn't put ourselves through the ordeal of making the drink!" said wife Joans.

"The consultant surgeon said how amazingly well Ray has done," she added.

Cancer Research UK is now planning to study the case and speak to former clothing worker Wiseman.
