London, Jan 30 : People who lose their virginity early are at a greater risk of developing sex problems later in life, doctors have warned.
According to a US study, men who first had sex in their 13th or 14th year are twice as likely to suffer sexually transmitted infections.
The researchers also found that half of them had problems performing in their 40s, as compared to just 17 per cent of blokes who waited until 17 or 18.
The team said that early rompers were also more likely to indulge in sex after drink or drugs, reports The Sun.
The study, which examined 8,500 people in their 40s, also discovered that women who lost their virginity at a young age suffered more sex diseases.
