Prof. B M Hegde to be the editor-in-chief of Journal of the Science of Healing Outcomes

Professor B M Hegde, the former Vice Chancellor of Manipal University, will be the Editor-in-Chief of the recently launched Journal of the Science of Healing Outcomes at the Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel.

New Delhi, Oct 4 : Professor B M Hegde, the former Vice Chancellor of Manipal University, will be the Editor-in-Chief of the recently launched "Journal of the Science of Healing Outcomes" at the Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel.

The journal is the brain child of Professor Rustom Roy, the father of nanotechnology and the leading American material scientist and a distinguished professor at the Penn State University.

It was launched at the meeting of the Friends of Health on September 29 at the Tai Sophia Institute in Laurel.

It is basically a web based journal but the extended abstracts of all the papers will be published as a paper journal from Mangalore in India.

The first cover page of the journal was designed at Manipal Power Press, Manipal, India. This was released at an impressive ceremony at Tai Sophia in the presence of distinguished scientists.

Leading scientists such as Hans-Peter Durr, the President of Max Planck Institute, Munich; Professor John OM Bockris, the father of cold fusion and a distinguished professor at A and M University were among the distinguished scientists who attended the ceremony.

Robert Duggan, the President of Tai Sophia, is a significant part of the "Friends of Health". Tai Sophia, an unconventional graduate school, has been teaching many healing sciences for graduate degree for the last 34 years.

Prof. Rustom Roy will be the Co-editor-in-Chief of the journal.

Also on the editorial board is Richard Smith, who has been the editor of British Medical Journal for a quarter century.

Among the medical men are many leaders in various scientific fields like physics, chemistry and biology.

The journal will publish only authentic healing outcomes after verifying the scientific content and will be peer reviewed by a specialist on the editorial board being the undisputed leader in his/her field.

The usual peer reviewing is replaced by this super peer review. Even single case reports of unusual outcomes, if properly documented, could be published.

The journal does not advertise drugs and instruments but would give wide publicity for scientific meetings and proceedings of scientific meetings.

There could be a section to highlight the publications in other like minded journals along with vacancy positions in various institutions all over the world.

This would be the first attempt to empower the multitude of healing practices in many systems of medicine that cry for authentication to make an integrated medical care delivery system within the reach of the common man.
