Sean R. Parnell (born November 19, 1962, Hanford, California) is a US Republican Politician and is the current Lieutenant Governor of Alaska, taking office in 2006 alongside Governor Sarah Palin. Parnell is likely to take charge as Governor of Alaska on July 25, 2009 after Palin announced she is resigning from her Governor post and will cede control of the state to Parnell.
