Professional Biography

Joe Biden represented the state of Delaware in the United States Senate since 1972, when he was elected at the age of twenty-nine. He is the running mate for Barack Obama. Former US President Bill Clinton praised Joe Biden as a whiz on foreign affairs.

In March 2010, Biden was caught in yet another foot-in-the-mouth situation when he was overheard telling a companion: Its easy being Vice President. You dont have to do anything.

On US Relationships with Pakistan

In February 09, he termed Pakistan as an important ally of the US in its 'war on terror', and asked for a strengthening of ties between both countries in order to stabilise the region.

On US stand against Al-Qaida

In February 2010, the Republicans have criticized Biden for taking credit for American success in Iraq and the drawndown of troops both in Iraq and Afghanistan. He reacted saying that the American troops have killed 12 of the top 20 Al Qaeda leaders and taken out 100 of their affiliates during President Obamas regime.

In March 2012, Joe Biden said that President Barack Obama's plan to raid and kill Osama Bin Laden was an audacious success. Biden said that he spends four to six hours a day with the president and watches him make decisions.

Superstorm Sandy

Vice President Joe Biden has visited areas in New Jersey which were damaged by Superstorm Sandy. He took an aerial tour on 18 November 2012. Biden arrived at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and took a helicopter tour of the coastline. He was briefed on the damage caused by the superstorm by about 50 first responders.

Personal Biography

Joe Biden was married to Neilia. She passed away in December 1972 along with their one-year-old daughter in a car crash while Christmas shopping. In May 2012, Joe Biden recounted the deaths in a moving speech to the families of fallen US troops.

Biden is now married to Dr Jill Biden, whom he met in 1977.
