The 2010 US midterm elections will be held on November 2, 2010.

The midterm elections will include contest for all of the 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 37 seats of the United States Senate. 38 state and territorial governorships, many state legislatures, four territorial legislatures and numerous state and local races will also be contested.

United States Senate Elections, 2010

After the 2008 elections, Democrats lead the senate holding 57 seats, while the Republicans occupy 41. There are two independent members in the senate who caucus with the Democrats. In the november elections, 37 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested. The election will be held on November 2, 2010. Thirty four of these elected seats will begin their six year term on January 3, 2011 and will end in January 2017.

The longest serving senator in the United States Daniel Inouye is seeking for a ninth term from Hawaii.

United States House of Representatives Elections, 2010

Elections for all the 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives will be held on November 2, 2010. The elected members in this election will form the 112th Congress.

United States gubernatorial elections, 2010

Apart from the elections for United States Senate and House of Representatives, elections for 37 of the 50 United States governors will also be held.
