Australian Open 2011

Andy Murray was seeded No. 5 at the Austrlalian Open 2011. Before the start of the tournament, Murray took part in 'Rally for Relief' for the Australian flood victims, which raised two million dollars. In the first round, Murray beat Karol Beck. He beat Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez in straight sets to reach the Quarterfinals of the tournament. He beat World No.46 Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine to reach the semifinals of the tournament. In the final, he played against No. 3 Novak Djokovic and lost in straight sets. This is his third loss in the final of a Grand Slam tournament, twice to Federer and once to Djokovic. After losing to final, Murray said that the World No. 3 Djokovic deserved to win the title.
