The Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited, also called MTNL, is an Indian state-owned telecommunications service provider. The company mainly operates in Mumbai and Delhi cities. It has also operations in Mauritius. The company was a monopoly till 1992 when the telecom sector was opened to private entities.
