Super Fight League

Super Fight League (SFL) is an Indian mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion. It was formed in 2011 by Raj Kundra and film actor Sanjay Dutt. The SFL events are televised in Colors television channel in India and on YouTube worldwide. The first event of SFL was held on March 11, 2012.


Address a press conference on April 3, 2012 Raj Kundra said that he hopes that Mixed Martial Arts will emerge on India's sporting map in the years to come. He said that Cricket is already established in the country and other sports also deserve to flourish. Kundra said that the fights in the SFL are real and none of them are staged. The idea behind the Super Fight League is to provide audiences with some action-packed entertainment as well as to promote young talent in this field.

MMA is a full contact combat sport, and includes boxing, wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Karate, Judo and other fighting styles. Kundra used to watch a lot of action movies. The MMA has been in US since the past 10 years and Kundra approached with the idea to Sanjay Dutt who also expressed interest.
