About Pakistan Team for the 2010 Commonwealth Games

Pakistan is competing in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

In May 2010, the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has decided to shift its proposed training camps for the upcoming Commonwealth games and the Asian Games from Quetta due to security reasons.

In May 2010, British boxing champion Amir Khan's younger brother said he is all set to represent Pakistan at the games after claiming that he is being snubbed by Team Great Britain.

In June 2010, Pakistan's participation in the Games was reported to be doubtful as it is yet to finalise the contingent for the event.

The experienced trio of Sohail Abbas, Rehan Butt and Shakeel Abbasi have been axed from the Pakistan hockey squad after they failed to impress the selectors during the Azlan Shah Cup trials at the Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium. Pakistan isn't expecting a medal with its team in the CW Games.

Pakistan's top tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, who is a part of the country's contingent scheduled to leave for India on Sept 29, said the competition in the Commonwealth Games (CWG) in New Delhi will be tough.
