Lou Al-Chamaa is an electrician and is the boy friend of Lewis. In May 09, Lewis is reportedly leaving America to return to London for her boyfriend. Lewis attributes her boyfriend who convinced her to audition for UK TV talent show The X Factor.

Leona Lewis was linked with Liam Payne from the One Direction boy band. After her rumored linkup, there have been a number of discussions on social networking sites. Reacting to the craze, Leona Lewis said that she understands that the fans of One Direction are proctective of the members of boy band.
