Donna Summer

Donna Summer was an American singer and songwriter who gained prominence during the disco era of the late 1970s. She is a five-time Grammy Award winner. Donna Summer was the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach number one on the United States Billboard chart, and she also charted four number-one singles in the United States within a 13-month period.

She achieved fame in mid-Seventies. Donna Summer is known for her hit songs - Hot Stuff, Bad Girls and No More Tears, I Feel The Love and Love to Love You Baby

Donna Summer died on May 17, 2012, at the age of 63, at her home in Naples, Florida after battling with Lung Cancer.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Donna Summer was shortlisted to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame six times. She finally made it to the list in 2012. Summer will be posthumously inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2013.
