Death of Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse was found dead at her home in north London's Camden area. Ambulance was called to her home at Camden Square, but the crew of the The London Ambulance Service found her dead by the time they arrived.

Personal Biography


Mitch and Janis are Amy Winehouse's parents. Janis was often ill and felt she is unable to control her daughter. Janis appreciates Mitch for his efforts to help his daughter tackle her drug addiction.

Relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil

Blake Fielder-Civil is her husband. Amy brokedown after Fielder-Civil was arrested and accused of GBH and in an attempt to pervert the course of justice. Worried, Amy's parents called up ambulance and police fearing that she would 'do something silly' following his arrest. Amy used to visit the prison to see her husban weekly. During her November 07 visit, Blake felt concerned about his wife's bulimia condition and asked her to gain weight.

Blake had filed for divorce in January 09, following reports that his singer-wife had been romancing former rugby player Joshua Bowman while holidaying in the Caribbean. Despite this, Winehouse continued to love Blake. In March 09, she appeared to be determined to win back her estranged hubby. In January 2010, it is reported Amy wanted to get rid of Blake tattoo.

Drug addiction

Amy is believed to have got landed into various troubles her self. Her friend once revealed Amy went on two major drug overdoses that could drive her to commit suicide. In November 07, Amy is slammed by drug enforcement officials for glamorising drug usage. In November 08, she visited the hospital after a drink and drug spree set off by a screaming row with husband.

In August 08, Amy was picked as the star performer for the three-day Rock En Seine festival but she remained at her home due to illness and was unable to travel. Reports say she may face legal action not taking part in the festival.

Amy went into worse times after getting addicted to drugs. She lost her youthful looks and totally ruined with sunken cheeks, a skeletal frame, blotches and grey skin to the extent that she even skipped her birthday. Sources say she spends as much as 1,000 pounds a day on drugs such as heroin and crack cocaine

Caribbean holiday

Amy took a three-month holiday break at the end of 2008 and early 2009. She is seen horse riding on the beach of St. Lucia. Reports say she also was on a house hunting for Caribbean base. She is reported to have collapsed and rushed to hospital. Amy's dad rushed to reach his holidaying daughter in the Caribbean over her boozy antics. As planned earlier, Amy, soon after returning to London after holiday, has set to shift to a new Barnet home.

Assult charges

In March 09, Amy was charged for assault in relation to a September 26, 2008 incident at the posh End Of Summer Ball in Berkeley Square, London. She has been ordered to court later this month. Amy will now have to appear on bail at City of Westminster Magistrates Court on March 17, 2009. Winehouse will have to appear in court after being charged for the assault.

Other personal information

She turned to Buddhism in a bid to find peace of mind in the hectic life she is living.

In January 2010, it is reported that she told her friends that she is bisexual.
