Dmitry Medvedev is the President of Russia.
Medvedev is married to Svetlana. Both Medvedev and Svetlana are fans of J K Rowling. In April 09, the two took Rowling's autograph at the end of the Downing Street G20 dinner.
In November 08, Medvedev is believed to be persuaded by former Russian President Vladimir Putin to rewrite the Constitution to extend the presidential term apparently opening doors to speculations that Putin is keen to get back to being Russian President.
Medvedev is on a 3-day visit to India. He is likely to sign a deal with India for the construction of four additional nuclear reactors at the Kudankulam nuclear power plant in Tamil Nadu apart from other pacts for expanding activities at other sites. Medvedev arrived in India on the evening of Thursday, December 4, 2008.
In March 09, reports are out that US President Barak Obama wrote a secret quid pro quo letter to Dmitri three weeks earlier that said he would back off deploying a new missile defense system in Eastern Europe if Moscow would help stop Iran from developing long-range weapons.
