Family

Russell Crowe was married to Danille Spencer. They first met Danille Spencer on the set of the 1990 film "The Crossing".On 14 Oct 2012, it was reported that Russell Crowe has split with his wife Danille Spencer. The couple were married for nine years. Sources say that Crowe's busy schedule and his constant away being from home for work is the root of the problem.

Charity

In July 09, Croweleft 600 pounds tip during a recent trip to a small bar in South Wales. He made a surprise stop at the Cancer Research shop in Sunningdale, Berks and made a huge cash donation while filming Robin Hood. He showed his benevolent nature by giving 5,000 pounds to a crew member after her car went up in flames.

Kayaking

Russell Crowe is an avid Kayaker. He was photographed several times paddling around Sydney harbor in Australia.

In August 2012, Russel Crowe was rescued by a US Coast Guard near Cold Spring Harbor in Long Island. He was paddling along with his friend off the Long Island and lost his way as darkness hit. He was stranded about 10 miles away from where he started. A Coast Guard patrol came to his rescue and safely transported him back to the harbor.
