Prince William has proposed to Kate Middleton in a hut in Kenya. They went on a romantic trip in October. It was reported that Prince Williams has promised to Kate Middleton's dad that he would protect her from the pressures of royal life.

In a poll, it has been revealed that more than 80% of those interviewed want the Royal family to foot the wedding bill and not ask taxpayers to pay from their pockets.

According to 'The Telegraph', the wedding may take place in the final week of April.

In June 2008, she attended the royal wedding of Lady Rose Windsor, cousin of the Queen at The Queen's Chapel, London. Earlier she attended the wedding of Mr and Mrs Phillips's wedding at St George's Chapel in Windsor. Kate feels she is a part of the Royal family having attended to the two Royal weddings. In August 2008, Kate invited Prince Williams and Prince Harry for charity roller-disco for a fund raising charity program.

With Prince Williams serious about his his career in the Royal Air Force, to become a Search and Rescue Officer, Kate may have to may have to wait 8 years before marrying him. Sources say tenants were being sought for the couple's alleged future home, a five-million-pound property on the Duchy of Cornwall's Harewood Park Estate, Herefordshire.

First Anniversary

Barbie doll versions of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were launched on the first anniversary of the Royal Couple's Wedding. Kate's doll sports a floor-length ivory gown with a lace torso and full skirt, with a posy of seasonal flowers held in one hand. It has an ivory veil, sparkling tiara and matching earrings. William's doll is dressed in the scarlet Irish Guards colonel's uniform, with blue Order of the Garter sash, that the real Prince wore. The dolls are priced at 62 pounds a set.

Royal Tour to Malaysia

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went on a 10-day royal visit to Malaysia in September 2012.

On 14 September 2012, the second day of the tour, the royal couple visited the Asskyakrin Mosque in Malaysia for the first time. Duchess Kate had her head draped in a scarf and shoes off during the mosque visit. Prince William wore a suit and a tie and took off his shoes during the visit to the mosque.
