Allegations made

On 31 August 2012, Yaswanth Sinha alleged that the then home minister P Chidambaram had his phone tapped along with those of his family members. Sinha said that the phone tapping was made when he brought up the Aircel-Maxis deal for discussion in the Parliament. The allegations were rejected the next day by Union Home Secretary RK Singh, saying that they are completely untrue.
