Professional Biography

As Indonesian President for second term

In October 09, he is re-elected for a second term. Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd attended as the chief guest to the oath taking ceremony of Yudhoyono. Yudhoyono skipped the opening of the 15th ASEAN Summit on October 23, 2009 as he has to attend the first cabinet meeting of his second term in office. On October 31, 2009, he said any attempt to dismantle the Corruption Eradication Commission, or KPK will be not be allowed. KPK was established to conduct graft investigations and charges corrupt government and other officials. In November 09, he made a televised speech and said that it will be better if charges on two senior members of the anti-corruption commission were dropped after a row about their prosecution came up.
