Delhi unsafe for women

RPN Singh witnessed first hand how Delhi remains an unsafe place for women. On December 21, 2012 RPN Singh went on a 40 minute DTC bus ride from Moti Bagh to Chattarpur in south Delhi at 7:30 pm. The minister observed that there was no checking, no PCR vans and no police presence at bus stops. Speaking about the security situation later, RPN Singh admitted that Delhi is an unsafe place for women and said, "I agree, the girls were right, they need to have more security in the city."

Database of Rape Convicts to be made public

The Government is planning to maintain a list of database of rape convicts across the country. The names, photographs and addresses of the rape convicts would be made public. The exercise will start in Delhi. Minister of State for Home RPN Singh has directed the National Crime Records Bureau to prepare such a directory. Dec 27, 2012
