In November 09, he visited South America and was received by Brazil President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Protests against Ahmadinejad's visit are heard both in Brazil and Venezuela where he visited.

Professional Biography

Turkey President Abdullah Gul played a role in bringing US and Iran for an agreement in regard to the nuclear programme. On May 20, 2009, he announced that Iran has test-fired an advanced missile with a range of about 1,200 miles, far enough to strike Israel and southeastern Europe.

Ahmadinejad, in a letter in June 09, thanked the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for his comments at a Tehran's Friday prayers.

On 12 February 2011, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says that the exit of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will see the emergence of a "new Middle East".

Uranium only for peaceful purposes

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on 24 September 2012 said that Iran's accumulation of Uranium is only for peaceful purposes and said that there is no need to worry about a possible attack against Israel. He spoke to reporters after arriving in New York to attend the annual UN General Assembly meeting. Ahmadinejad said, "Fundamentally, we do not take seriously threats of the Zionists. We believe the Zionists see themselves at a dead end and they want to find an adventure to get out of this dead end. While we are fully ready to defend ourselves, we do not take these threats seriously."
