Mahmoud Abbas has returned to West Bank on 3 December 2012 after leading the campaign of Palestine upgrading its status to a non-member state by the UN General Assembly. He was received by thousands of cheering supporters at West Bank. "We now have a state. The world has said loudly, 'Yes to the state of Palestine.'" said Abbas to the gathering.
