About M K Azhagiri

M K Azhagiri is an Indian Politician belonging to the Dravida Munnettra Kazhagam (DMK) party. He is the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. Azhagiri won the 2009 Indian Parliamentary Elections election from Madurai Lok Sabha Election defeating CPI-M's P Mohan by a margin of over 140,000 votes. DMK seriously considering to ask the UPA Government for a Ministerial position for Azhagiri in the new Government. Azhagiri took oath as a cabinet minister on May 28, 2009.
