About Jayaprada

Jayaprada is an actress turned politician from India. She is a politician belonging to Rashtriya Lok Manch party. Jayaprada was a member of Samajwadi Party earlier. She along with her mentor Amar Singh joined the Rashtriya Lok Manch party.

2014 Elections

Jayaprada is contesting to the Lok Sabha from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh on Rashriya Lok Mach party ticket. She said she was keen to contest elections from Andhra Pradesh but did not get the required support from any political party in the State.

In April 2014, Jayaprada said there is no Modi wave in Andhra Pradesh.

The two-time MP said she wanted to join either Congress or Telugu Desam in Andhra Pradesh. She campaigned for her actress friend Jayasudha in Andhra Pradesh. Jayaprada spent two days canvassing in Hyderabad, Warangal and Nalgonda districts where RLD has fielded 7 to 8 candidates and two parliamentary seats.
