Botcha Satyanarayana
Botcha Satyanarayana is a politician of the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh. He is the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President. He is also the Transport Minister in the Andhra Pradesh Government.
He is a MLA representing Cheepurupalli constituency in Andhra Pradesh. B Satyanarayana served as Minister for Panchayat Raj in K Rosaiah's Government and as the Minister for Housing, Weaker Section Housing Program, AP Cooperative Housing Societies Federation and Housing Board in Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's Government.
Timeline
Commenting on CBI filing a petition before the court saying that permission of the Government is not required to prosecute Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, on 21 December 2012 Botcha Satyanarayana said the CBI has contradicted its own stand. He declined to comment on the question as to whether the Minister should be dropped from the cabinet.
Botcha Satyanarayana says that the defection of leaders from the party to other political parties would not make any difference. On a visit to Vijayawada, the PCC president said that none of the MLAs from Krishna district would leave the party. Botcha Satyanarayana inaugurated a private retreading unit at Tupranpet village in Choutuppal mandal of Nalgonda district. Talking to media, he said that the power tariff would not be increased as recommended by discoms since the government did not want to burden people.
