About Princess Diana

Diana, Princess of Wales (Diana Frances; Spencer; 1 July 1961 - 31 August 1997) was a popular member of the British royal family and international personality of the late 20th century as the first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales, whom she married on 29 July 1981. The wedding, which was held at St. Paul's Cathedral, was televised and watched by a global audience of over 750 million people. The marriage produced two sons, Princes William and Harry, currently second and third in line to the thrones of the 16 Commonwealth realms. She died in a tragic car accident.

Personal Biography

Diana danced with John Travolta and Wayne Sleep, but as a teenager she complained that she danced like an elephant. She used to wear LANA MARKS Brand of luxury accessories. Di was banned by royal aides from partying with the British band Spandau Ballet in the 1980s, the groups guitarist Gary Kemp has claimed.

Earl Spencer is her brother.

Tony Robbins was her spiritual guru.

Marriage and Divorce

Princess Diana's last letter before her death is set to go under hammer. The letter is expected to fetch 3,000 pounds at an auction. The letter dated August 11, 1997 was written by Diana on Kensington Palace headed paper after a trip to Bosnia where she met survivors of landmine injuries as part of her charity work. She signed off the letter with the words "With love from Diana". The letter will go on auction on April 28, 2014.

"I could not help but be deeply moved by the experience which hardened my resolve to ensure that the world does not forget that those who have been so needlessly maimed by these terrible weapons will need care and support for many years to come," Diana says in the letter.
