Second term as Petroleum Minister

Deora took charge of office Petroleum Minister on May 29, 2009. The same day, he sought Cabinet approval for market-set fuel prices and oil price deregulation in six weeks. On July 5, 2009, he hinted of a possible fuel prices downward revision if international crude prices come down.
