Maddelacheruvu Suri


Maddelacheruvu Suryanarayana Reddy (actually Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy; popularly known as Maddelacheruvu Suri) is the prime accused in the sensational murder case of former Telugu Desam Party Leader and MLA Paritala Ravi. Suri was involved in Jubilee Hills Bomb blast case. He was killed in his car when driving home in Hyderabad on January 3, 2011.

Personal information

Gangula Narayana Reddy is his father. Suri joined into faction activities at the age of 15. His siblings were all dead in faction related activities. Suri underwent his primary education for three years at his village and later at the district-level school. His father was killed in 1984 by Naxals. With this, Suri gave up his 9th class education to join faction politics. Bhanumati is his wife.

Other information

Few days ago, Suri has paid homage at the burial site of the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy at Idupulapaya in Cuddapah.

Tamil Actor Surya played the role of Suri in Rakta Charitra, a 2010 film made by Ram Gopal Varma.It was reported that Suri wept loudly at the theatre when he watched the movie.
