About Jayant Patel

Jayant Mukundray Patel (born: 10 April 1950; aka: Dr. Death) is a surgeon who is at the centre of a 2005 scandal where he was accused of gross incompetence while working at Bundaberg Base Hospital in Queensland, Australia.

In March 2010, the Brisbane Supreme Court has been told that he was too quick to remove a patients colon without adequate investigation over his cancer concerns.
