About Chandra Levy

Chandra Levy is an intern with the Bureau of Prisons whose disappearance and murder has become a sensational case in the US in the summer of 2001.

Chandra Levy was found murdered in a park in Washington in 2002. Earlier, her disappearance has lead to speculation over the role of Democratic California Rep. Gary Condit about her disappearance. The murder story lost focus following the September 11 attacks and remained unsolved and in mysterious condition. Condit was defeated by Dennis Cardoza, a chief of staff during Condit's term in a 2002 primary. With this, focus is lost over Condit too.

Charges on Guandique

The Chandra Levy murder is back to spotlight after police are considering the arrest Ingmar A. Guandique, a Salvadoran immigrant and a California prison inmate. Police are believed to be pursuing undisclosed charges against Guandique. Susan Levy, the mother of Chandra Levy welcomed the recent developments and the police action into the case. However Guandique denied any involvement in the murder. On March 3, 2009 reports are out that police was able to get arrest warrant on Guandique for the 2001 killing.
