Chandrashekhar Bhaskar Bhave is the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

Professional Biography

Bhave is appointed SEBI chairman in February 08 and replaced M. Damodaran. Bhave would be in the position for a period of three years from the date he assumes office. Before being the SEBI chairman, he is the Chairman and Managing Director of the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL).

On January 9, 2009, on the resignation admitting financial wrong-doing of B Ramalinga Raju, Bhave said that charges on the Satyam Computer Services once the SEBI investigation is completed.
