Amnesty International accuses Pakistan Army of widespread human rights abuses in Pakistan's tribal belt bordering Afghanistan. On 13 December 2012, Amnesty claimed that several laws were broken in the fight against Taliban and other militants. Amnesty has released a new report titled, "The hands of cruelty: Abuses by armed forces and Taliban in Pakistan's tribal areas", based on over 100 intervies with victims of rights violations.
