Delhi High Court


The High Court of Delhi was established on 31 October 1966. The High Court of Delhi was established with four judges. They were Chief Justice K. S. Hegde, Justice I. D. Dua, Justice H. R. Khanna and Justice S. K. Kapur.

Time line

The Delhi High Court, on 19 Dec 2012, took suo motu cognisance of the Delhi gangrape case and asked the Police Commissioner to file a status report on the case within two days. The court also approved the setting up of five fast-track courts for rape cases in the city.

The Delhi High Court said it would hear a Public Interest Litigation seeking inspection of SEBI on permitting Bharti Infratel Ltd to issue public offerings for its cell phone tower installations allegedly without considering the radiation norms compliance.
