Personal Biography

Nicholas Sarkozy is married to former Italian supermodel Carla Bruni. The couple has a daughter Guilia, who was born on October 19, 2011. The couple along with the baby went on a public stroll around La Lanterne in central Paris for the first time.

Cecilia Attias is his former wife. She spent six months as the first lady after Sarkozy was elected president in May 2007. After her divorce, Cecilia moved to New York with their son Louis. She later married publicity tycoon Richard Attias. Cecilia visited Carla Bruni in December 2011 in a bid to end their four-year feud. Attias brought a lot of gifts to Bruni's newborn daughter Guilia.

Nicholas Sarkozy has visited India in 2010. He reached Bangalore on December 4, 2010. During the trip Sarkozy has visited the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). The French President also backed India's bid for a permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council. During his trip to the ISRO, Sarkozy said that he is a visited the Taj Mahal.
