Mario Balotelli is an Italian footballer who plays as a striker for Manchester City and the Italian national team.

Personal Biography

Marion Balotelli is born to Ghana immigrants Rose and Thomas Barwuah in Palermo, Italy. He was later adopted by Francesco and Silvia Balotelli in Brescia. In June 2012, the biological parents of Balotelli want him to come home and that they didn't care for the money. Mario's grandfather Nana is a retired bus driver. He passed away in 2012.


Mario Balotelli dated Italian model Raffaella Fico. He attended the midnight mass at his local church on Christmas Eve along with his girlfriend. They broke up in May 2012 after a year over the alleged affairs of Balotelli with other women. Cops were called at the end of their relationship over a row at his 3-million-pound Cheshire mansion. She is pregnant with Balotelli's child. It was learnt that Balotelli was thrilled when he heard the news before the Euro 2012 final.

Raffaella Fico has given another chance to Balotelli to work over their relationship after she is pregnant.

He is close to her adoptive mother Silvia and embraced her after scoring two goals against Germany in the semifinal of Euro 2012.


Mario Balotelli maintains a lavish lifestyle despite his donations to charity. In December 2011, he raked up 55k pounds in just eight weeks after checking into a luxury hotel. He checked into the hotel after he broke a window at his house.

He lost a earring worth 10,000 pounds after a collision with teammate Kolo Toure. The ground staff made efforts to find it and he even offered a reward to the ground staff if they finds it.

Mario Balotelli is part of the Italy squad who are the runners-up at the Euro 2012 football tournament. He was instrumental in making Italy to the final by scoring two goals against Germany in the semi-final. Italy beat England in the quarterfinal and Balotelli said that he would not join any Serie A club next season since his fans at Manchester City love him despite defeating England.

Mario missed his dog Lucky during the tournament so much t hat he asked a friend to send video clips to his home.

200 million pound valuation

Marion Balotelli is the first footballer to have an valuation of 200 million pound. His agent has claimed that Balotelli is worth 250 million Euros.


Mario Balotelli has donated a huge part of his income to building a school. He has funded the Cuey Machar school, who renamed part of the school as 'Mario Balotelli Wing'. Balotelli was moved by the story of an ex-civil war soldier John Kon Kelei.

During the Christmas season in 2011, Balotelli dressed up as Santa and gifted away cash and gifts to people at random at Manchester. Some of the people who received his gifts have posted pictures receiving the gifts from the footballer on social networking sites.
