About Manchester City

Manchester City is a football club that plays in the Premier League. Roberto Mancini is the current manager of the club.

In July 2010, ace striker Carlos Tevez has urged Fernando Torres to join him at ManC, after coach Roberto Mancini admitted that he wants to sign the Liverpool striker.

ManC was asked to cough up 30-million-pounds for Aston Villas James Milner.

ManC boss Roberto Mancini has admitted that the club is still trying to sign Landon Donovan.

In September 2012, David Silva has signed a five-year contract with Manchester City.

2011-12 Premier League

Roberto Mancini had a touchline bust-up with Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson during the match between Manchester United and Manchester City. The derby was played at the Etihad Stadium with City defeating their rivals 1-0. Ferguson accused Mancini of continually trying to influence the match officials during the match. Mancini said "Sir Alex reacted because of the pressure of a derby and the situation at the top. I don't know what else it could be. But I understand it. It is difficult for me. If another manager says something against me without a reason then I think I have to stand where I am. I didn't say anything to Sir Alex. I only spoke to the fourth official and it had nothing to do with him. Maybe it was because of the game. In a derby like that I can understand," he added.

As the Premier League is reaching the end stages of the 2012 season, Roberto Mancini has imposed a 9pm ban on his players. He wanted to ensure that his players have no distraction for their upcoming games against Newcastle United and Queens Park Rangers.

In May 2012, Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson blamed their title rivals Manchester City for playing inflated amounts of money for players. He said that even the UEFA's Financial Fair Play measures would not be able to stop the Manchester City club from playing insane amounts for players.
