The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship was the 14th European Championship for national football teams organised by UEFA. The touranment is commonly referred to as Euro 2012.

Spain won the Euro 2012 title defeating Italy 4-0 in the final. Fernando Torres won the Golden Boot award scoring three goals and an assist in the tournament.

The final tournament will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine between June 8 and July 1, 2012. It is the first time that either nation has hosted the tournament.

English strike Wayne Rooney was suspended for the first two games of England in Euro 2012. He however supported the teammates by cheering them Gazza-style.
