Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections went for elections in November 2008. About 64 per cent turnout was registed on the polling day on Thursday, November 27, 2008.

Sunil Nayak, former Minister and candidate of the Bhartiya Janata Party was killed allegedly by a Congress leader's brother at Prithvipur assembly constituency, Tikamgarh after the election was over.

Vote Counting

Counting of votes of the elections began on the morning of December 8, 2008.

Election results

The BJP won the MP Elections with a clear majority.
